My
books are assemblages of papers made by myself. I like particularly
paper made in Japanese way – this is so because it has two
different sides and each can be a separate picture. There’s no
painful leaving one page, since in the case of book both pages take
part in telling a story. Therefore a book is the best place for my
papers. And as for my stories, I have always likes sunrises and
sunsets, twilights, shadows running away from under my feet, rhythms
of birches – even in the kitsch pictures – and multiplicity of
visual events within the unity of a cornfield, all that visual
theatre. This is what my books are about.
